Emiliano 'Dibu' Martínez predicts the future of Julián Álvarez prior to the Finalissima: “He's going to be a superstar”

“We know how talented Julián is. I wanted him to come to Villa to be honest. Before the Copa América, I told him that he will join us. He is a talented player, humble and works hard, ”said the goalkeeper.

“I think he’s going to be a superstar. It is difficult to compare him with Aguero. He has a lot to prove. Like I said before, he’s going to be a superstar. And he is going to work with one of the best coaches on the planet (Guardiola). He is very loyal to us, I think he will do well”, he pointed out.

On the other hand, ‘Dibu’ spoke of the extra motivation he represents for the ‘Albiceleste ‘ play in England, letting it be known that they “always want to win” in that territory no matter who their opponents are.

“As an Argentine, we always want to win in England. Italy is one of the best teams in the world, European champion and if it had gone to the World Cup it would be one of the favorites. The Italians are very tactical, they work a lot in the defensive area. They are compact, with very fast players up front and they like to go on the counterattack”, explained Martínez.

In that sense , the Argentina international recalled the first time he went to Wembley Stadium, where Argentina vs. Italy was played, and stated that it was always his dream to play there.

“The first time I came here was when I was 17 years old with my father for a League Cup match . I saw the stadium full and I thought it would be a dream to play here“, he added.
