A 72 year old man was beaten to death during a fight with his cousin in his apartment shared from Brooklyn early Thursday, police said.
The victim was discovered lying in bed unconscious with a head injury when police responded to a call to 550 at the apartment on Kosciuszko Street near Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 4: 30 am, according to the police.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Emergency Medical Service (EMS), and immediately his cousin of 60 year old was arrested at the scene by police, with charges pending.
The police found no weapons at the crime scene.
The circumstances that led to the deadly fight are still under investigation, and the name of the victim has not been released publicly, pending notification of the family of the deceased.
