PSG won the French Super Cup this Sunday, beating Nantes 4-0 in Israel and one of its protagonists scoring two goals, Neymar Jr., assured in an interview that as long as the French team’s forward is in optimal conditions everything “will be fine”.

For Neymar Jr. the key for PSG to achieve this season 2022-2023 more than one title will be based on the state of form in which Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and the Brazilian himself are.

“I hope that this season the three of us stay and that it goes well for us. If Kylian (Mbappé, who couldn’t play due to a suspension from last season), Leo (Messi) and I are fine, PSG will be fine”, he commented in a post-match meeting with the media.

Similarly, the press asked if there is a new “Lionel Messi” about the Argentine winning the trophy for the Most Valuable Player of the Super Cup, something that the carioca winger denied.

“I don’t think so. People talk a lot without knowing what happens on a day-to-day basis. Leo is Leo forever. He will not change and will continue to be a player who makes a difference,” he added.

Lastly, he devoted himself to praising the entire team who, in his opinion, played a great game to secure the first title of the new season.

“It was a good match. Congratulations to the whole team. There was a title at the end, so we wanted to win it“, said Neymar.

Along with Neymar’s brace, PSG dispatched Nantes with the contribution of a goal for Messi and another from Spanish defender Sergio Ramos.
