Six years ago, at just years old, Gale moved from Puerto Rico to Miami to launch his singing career. After years composing for great artists like Shakira, Juanes or Christina Aguilera, with whom she composed “Santo”, now the Puerto Rican is determined to achieve her goal and surprises with her third single, “D-Pic”, a song that says what According to her, many have thought with lyrics that are not explicit but that make it clear: “And maybe all the others won’t say anything, but sorry, I’m not that desperate… I don’t want a photo of you… Keep that and go to ‘ the…”.
“You won’t believe all my friends’ stories. I have a friend who lives in New York who was once on the subway and at the moment, someone, some guy by ‘airdrop’ started sending that {an improper photo} and it’s crazy, “he commented.
“I felt a little scared when I was going to write this song because I said ‘oh, but it will be a bit like how strong the theme is!, right? That’s when I feel that little fear, that’s when I say ‘ok, I have to say it’.
Which artists have you collaborated with as a composer?
I have collaborated with incredible, wonderful artists that I admire and inspire me like Juanes, Anitta, Shakira, Christina Aguilera.
I imagine that you have learned from them, what has been the best advice they have given you?
Yes, I have learned many things from artists, but something that I took with me recently was from Shakira, who told me: “Follow your intuition, everyone is going to tell you something, everyone is going to have an opinion, but it’s always like you feel. So follow your intuition, even if it’s with a mix, how a song sounds” and that advice fascinates me.
What has been the most difficult part of this career so far?
I am focused, I know what I want and I know that I have to work very hard for that and it is what I have been doing forever, but leaving my family yes, because I am very attached to my family, to my grandmothers, with my parents; So I think that this is somewhat difficult, but I believe that in this life nothing is achieved without that amount of sacrifice, so my blessing is that they support me.
