The president of La Liga Santander, Javier Tebas, has ruled on the complaints made by the Brazilian Real Madrid footballer, Vinícius Júnior, who in recent days pointed out that the organizers of the Spanish competition do nothing against the racists who go to the stadiums.
Vinícius’s accusations came a day after the match between Real Madrid and Real Valladolid on December 30 at the José Zorrilla stadium, where the Madrid attacker received a series of racist insults from some fans, who also threw objects at him.
“The racists continue to go to the stadiums and see the biggest club in the world up close and La Liga continues to do nothing… I will continue with my head held high and celebrating my victories and those of Madrid. In the end it is MY fault, ”said the Brazilian on his social networks.
Now, Temas has responded with a position quite opposite to that of the Brazilian, pointing out that: “The League has been fighting RACISM for years. @vinijr it is unfair and false to publish that La Liga does nothing against racism”.
So far, no sanctions have been announced for those responsible for racist acts.
On December 31, Real Valladolid issued an official statement in which it “absolutely condemns any form of racism and is very sorry for what happened.”
“The Club is, of course, willing to collaborate with LaLiga to carry out the relevant investigations, and reserves the right to take disciplinary measures in the event that there are subscribers involved in the incidents,” reads part of the statement.
