“there-are-things-i-don't-understand”:-iker-casillas-launched-a-controversial-message-after-the-best-awards

The legendary Spanish goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, has revolutionized social networks after a controversial message in which he questions the prizes awarded in the 2022 edition of FIFA’s The Best.

On his Twitter account, Casillas published a tweet in which he affirms that he does not understand the award criteria, and although he does not mention The Best, it is understood that it is about that award.

“There are things that I don’t understand about this soccer awards…” said the exporter who now participates in the Kings League of Ibai Llanos and Gerard Piqué.

The tweet went viral almost immediately, drawing thousands of reactions from users who mostly defended the pageant winners.

“It’s easy, the best of the year wins, not the one you like the most or your favorite, we all know how you like to vote and it’s not always for the one who performs best in the year,” a follower replied.

In The Best 2022 there was practically an Argentine hegemony, as Lionel Messi established himself as the best footballer of the year, Lionel Scaloni as the best coach, and Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez as the most outstanding goalkeeper.

But not everything ended there, as Argentina also won the award for the best fans of the year.
