The Colombian actor and presenter Daniel Arenas turns 44 on “Today”, where his classmates sang for him and filled him with surprises; and behind the scenes, the actor also confessed his goals in his private life and in his working life as part of the morning show on a new chain.
Now that you are 44 years old, what new goals have you set for yourself?
My goals are always personal, of myself growing, of myself improving on my mistakes…
And in the workplace?
In terms of work, I must say that I have always been greatly blessed by God, because it has greatly surprised me throughout my life. Not only in terms of acting, but also in the opportunities I had to study, travel, and grow, and at this moment in my life, turning 44, I never expected that a company as important as Telemundo would call me to be a presenter for his ‘morning show’.
“It was a surprise last year when they called me, and I said ‘well, let’s give ourselves the opportunity to learn, to grow, to do something new.’ When I got here I asked them, what do you want me to do with my acting theme too? “We want to empower you in driving, that you be a strong image of our channel in driving, we are going to think about the acting issue later; So I love it because it’s something new for me”.
“I’m learning, I enjoy it, I think I reach the public in a different way, it doesn’t mean that the acting part doesn’t exist anymore, it’s just on pause, it will come later.”
“Right now I am concentrating on my presentation, I am concentrating on driving, I want to grow more, I want to learn more, I want to have more spaces, which I also know that the company is going to give me; So that is my professional goal, to continue growing in the presentation, driving, and tomorrow I don’t know what it holds for me”.
Suddenly I have my own show, suddenly I present other important programs, but the acting part will always be in me.
“I think that today I also play a role, even if it is not in a character, but I also play a very beautiful role in this program, with my essence, so the acting part is there, it is always present, current.”
