know-the-records-that-will-be-more-difficult-to-break-in-this-new-season-of-the-major-leagues

Records are made to be broken, but in the Major Leagues there are some that seem to be invincible; Here we highlight some legendary brands which will be very difficult to break in this new 2023 season.

130 scams

In this age where everyone wants to hit home runs, Rickey Henderson’s 130 stolen bases in the 1982 season seem unattainable, the one who came closest was Vince Coleman in 1987 with 109 stolen bases.

13 uninterrupted seasons

From May 1982 to September 1998 Cal Ripken played non-stop for a single game, ultimately 2,632 consecutive games played by the Baltimore Orioles shortstop.

56 hits in a row

Another record that seems difficult to break is Joe DiMaggio’s 56 hit games in a row in the 1941 season, during that period the player also hit 30 home runs and only struck out 13 times.

262 singles

A slightly more recent mark is that of the Japanese Ichiro Suzuki, who in the 2004 campaign with the Seattle Marines connected an incredible number of 262 hits, even the left-hander had 10 consecutive seasons giving more than 200 hits.

5,714 strikeouts

If there is something that makes a good pitcher stand out, it is his ability to strike out batters, this was a skill that Ryan Nolan had very well oiled; In his 27 seasons in the Major Leagues he managed to strike out 5,714 batters and during his entire career he also managed to throw 7 no-hitters and no runs.
