Erling Haaland, the goalscorer of the moment and a benchmark for Manchester City, has finally defined which brand will become the sponsor of his shoes for the next season, it is the renowned company Nike, which also sponsors Cristiano Ronaldo among other footballers.

In this way, the Norwegian once again joins the American sports equipment giant, with which he was linked until January 2022 when he decided to explore other offers and shoe brands such as the popular Adidas and Puma, which had also made him offers.

“Haaland’s unprecedented rise in European football, coupled with an astonishing pace of record goals, cements his stamp on the future of this sport,” Nike said of this achievement in a statement.

“Haaland’s commitment to holistic physical conditioning, honored in his famous celebrations, increases his strengths on the pitch: goal instinct, power, positioning, pace and precision,” added the sports brand.

Since the end of his previous contract, Haaland decided to test the different brands of soccer shoes that are on the market, the different models and colors, not only to find out which one best suits his game, but also to send a message to the brands letting it be known that he was open to negotiating with everyone.

Although his objective was to achieve a good economic contract, sources close to the player assure that his priority was always the comfort and quality offered by the product, requirements that Nike was able to fully meet.

So far this season, the 22-year-old striker has scored 42 goals in 37 games across all competitions, this being the best season of his career and in which he has already broken several records.

At Nike, Haaland joins other soccer superstars who have also opted for the brand, such as Kylian Mbappé and Manchester City teammate Kevin de Bruyne, and from other sports including LeBron James, Rafael Nadal and Tiger Woods.
