juanes,-talking-about-his-depression,-seeks-to-encourage-people-to-talk-about-it,-because-with-the-right-guidance-you-can-lead-a-full-and-happy-life.Juanes, talking about his depression, seeks to encourage people to talk about it, because with the right guidance you can lead a full and happy life.

Through Instagram, Juanes shared a strong message with which he not only opens his heart by exposing himself, but is also inspired by the need to send motivational words to all those who, like him, are struggling daily against depression.

“Many years have passed to be able to write this,” says the famous Colombian singer on Instagram, who later added: “It is never too late to understand that mental health is something essential for everyone.”

The publication on the social network begins with a black and white photograph in which Juanes appears alone and pensive. In the next one, we find a text in white letters with a black background where he expresses that he begins to free himself publicly with his fans: “Feeling vulnerable makes me stronger. Being able to talk about my problems and my insecurities openly does not make me a coward or weak. On the contrary, it helps me heal from the soul and be more human”.

His writing also highlights something that is very true and that is that beyond any life or health problem, in effect “no one knows for sure about the others.” But sometimes we pretend to know, because we let ourselves go by appearances, and in this statement by Juanes, we realize once again that “all that glitters is not gold.”

Many famous or not famous suffer in silence. Months ago, the world of entertainment released the alarm after Alejandro Sanz admitted that he was not well with very clear words: “I am not well. I don’t know if this is of any use but I want to say it. I am sad and tired. In case someone else believes that there must always be a sea breeze or a firework on a summer night. I’m working to make it go away… I’ll get to the stage and something inside will tell me what to do. But sometimes I don’t even want to be. Literally. Just to be honest. For not entering the useless noise. I know there are people who feel this way. If it works for you, I feel the same way.”

Juan Esteban speaks to his audience and exposes his constant battle

The interpreter of “La Camisa Negra” left a post on Instagram that contains a photograph and three more pages in which he speaks directly with his fans about everything he has had to face in recent years. Where he explains that in the years of his peak popularity, he on the outside could see himself as a successful and successful man, but on the inside he was nothing more than a defeated and disillusioned man.

This is one of the great truths that many artists hide, the millions of followers or reproductions of their songs do not ensure full happiness, that is only one face, the professional one, which sometimes has nothing to do with the personal one.

Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, real name of the singer-songwriter, also asserted that “everyone, absolutely everyone, carries a cross, personal grief, pain or frustration, regardless of our social class, religion or profession”.

This discomfort with himself led him to neglect himself and seek solace in alcohol, but he admits that this decision was a terrible one and that the result was worse. “I got to such a point of exhaustion that I hated looking in the mirror, listening to my music, seeing myself in a publication and, most painfully, not enjoying being on stage.”

Reading everything that Juanes shared on Instagram, the question that hits our mind is, how did he manage to get out of this “emotional rut”, how did he rebuild himself, rearm himself? According to what he revealed, he did it by talking, seeking help and relying on his family, both his mother and his wife, his brothers and his closest environment.

Seeing what has been seen and lived, the interpreter of “I ask God” wanted to leave a strong and clear message to all his followers: “Remember, we can all suffer from depression and talking about it is a good way to start fighting a silent and powerful disease that can take lives.”
