According to reports, Piqué and the singer decided to freeze embryos with the intention of having a girl in the future. In the process, the couple managed to obtain a female embryo that began to grow in Shakira’s womb.
During the first months, the pregnancy would have gone perfectly, however, after the first trimester, the Colombian suffered toxoplasmosis, which consists of an infection caused by a parasite called toxoplasma gondii.
