Actress Elisabeth Moss, 41, announced that she is pregnant and expecting her first child, just a few days after confirming the death of her father, Ron Moss.
The star of “The Handmaid’s Tale” series shared the news on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Observing her budding belly, the presenter bluntly asked the artist: “Are you pregnant or are you simply an actress very committed to the method?” With humor, the 41-year-old interpreter responded: “A little of both.”
Moss also said that she was “very lucky” because of how she has been going through these first months of pregnancy. “Everything is going very well,” she confirmed, before diverting attention and asking Kimmel for some “advice” about her parenting and referring to her status as a first-time mother.
The host then revealed that the best recommendations his wife Molly McNearney received before welcoming one of their children came from Bill Murray.
“She told us to buy Christmas lights to hang in the delivery room, because the lighting is terrible. It’s a Walmart-style room for this blessed event that’s going to happen, and that’s not what you want,’” replied the presenter, who also said that the actor also suggested playing music and candles to set the space.
The Mad Men star was receptive to the advice, commenting, “I think it’s a really good list, I like it.” However, Elisabeth did not give further details about the due date or sex of the baby, or if she is in a relationship.
