Dressed and rowdy, but also upset and disappointed are Nick Carter’s Mexican fans, who arrived at the Pabellón M Auditorium in Monterrey to enjoy the singer’s concert and found out that it was canceled at the last minute.
The official reason for said cancellation, according to the company organizing the show, was health issues, this according to a statement that made the news official around 8:00 p.m.
“We regret to announce that due to health issues of the artist, and causes beyond the control of Apodaca Group, OCESA and Escenario GNP Seguros, Nick Carter’s concert in Monterrey has been cancelled,” the letter reads.
However, Nick did arrive in Monterrey this afternoon ready to offer his concert as part of his Who I Am Tour 2024.
According to videos of his arrival, he was seen smiling when arriving on a commercial flight.
The fans who already knew that their idol had arrived in the city arrived at the auditorium to first attend a meet and greet, a gathering for which they paid an extra charge in addition to the access ticket to the show, but when they arrived at the venue they found out that there would be no event and much less coexistence.
“I feel frustrated because I traveled from Guadalajara to come see him. I know it’s not the artist’s problem, I imagine it’s the production, whoever brought it. More than anything, the way they notified us is very annoying, because they didn’t have the tact to say it.
They only told us that it was canceled because the artist was sick, when we know that the artist does not cancel due to illness, when he would have postponed it at most, that is why it is an annoyance more than anything (the feeling),” said Liliana Rodríguez from Guadalajara.
There was disappointment in the royals, since the meeting with Nick had been bothering him since last November.
“I feel sad, yes I am disappointed, to be honest, for the ticket, for the meet and greet, and well it is $7,000 pesos,” said Paty de la Fuente.
