The Red Bull Formula 1 team announced through a statement that Christian Horner will remain as the head of the Austrian team for the 2024 season of the World Championship in the premier category of motorsport after having been acquitted of the accusations against him of a alleged inappropriate conduct toward an employee.
The team’s ruling was released after an investigation carried out last week by the team to verify whether the complaints against them were really true; When his innocence was proven, his role as chief executive and director of the team was confirmed just three days before the Bahrain Grand Prix.
“The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner has concluded, and Red Bull can confirm that the complaint has been dismissed. The complainant has the right to appeal. “Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial,” Red Bull’s parent company said in a statement.
“The investigation report is confidential and contains private information of the parties and third parties who collaborated in the investigation, so we will not make any further comments out of respect for all those involved. “Red Bull will continue to strive to meet the highest standards in the workplace,” adds the text about Horner.
Christian Horner has become an important piece for the current moment that Red Bull is experiencing within the Formula 1 World Championship by encouraging the constructors to make the best cars in the championship and also having the support of the Dutchman and current champion Max Verstappen, as well as the Mexican Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez.
It is important to highlight that despite the investigation being carried out against him, Horner remained as team leader and was in charge of the pre-season tests that were carried out last week to analyze first-hand the performance of his new car. and that of the pilots.
