Eileen Bright, a 75-year-old woman, was arrested as a suspect in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend at the home they shared outside Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The victim, Gary Johnson, was 81 years old and died early Sunday morning. Bright was arrested hours later and charged with the murder of Johnson, whom local media described as her “long-time” boyfriend.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Hamilton Township police and obtained by NJ.comBright admitted to the crime, but the cause of the attack has not been disclosed.
Officers found a knife inside the residence. Bright also faces charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release.
Officers responding to the home in Mays Landing located Johnson with “multiple injuries to his head and body,” authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner made it official that he died from blunt force trauma due to stab wounds, he reported. DailyNews.
All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Earlier that month, a mother died and her two children were injured after a gunman opened fire on the family inside an apartment in the Bronx (NYC).
In January, a man was arrested a day after his mother’s funeral on suspicion of strangling her at her home in Staten Island (NYC). Also that month, a man and a woman were found dead with gunshot wounds to the head in an apartment in Brooklyn (NYC) in an apparent murder-suicide. Days before, a Hispanic woman killed her daughters and her husband and then took her own life inside her home in Union (NJ) after receiving an eviction order, authorities reported.
