The undeniable impact and significance of Bad Bunny on the international music scene has not prevented people from “turning their backs” on the artist during his current “Most Wanted Tour” in the United States.
And with the exception of his first concerts, which went viral in a few hours due to the singer’s appearance on a horse, the American public has not felt truly “trapped” by the “Bad Rabbit” in his latest dates and the that are still missing.
A clear example of the above is the Puerto Rican’s next presentation in the city of Austin, Texas, on April 26, which, in the first instance, did not achieve “sold out”, in addition to having a level of attendance between 60 and 70% of the capacity of the Moody Center in the Texas city according to the Ticketmaster page.
Why isn’t Bad Bunny selling out his concerts?
The situation in Austin is reflected in an almost similar way in his other dates in the city of Houston, where the singer has managed to cover barely 60% of the capacity at the Toyota Center.
Likewise, Bad Bunny has not managed, so far, to sell out his shows in the cities of Dallas, at the American Airlines Center; in New Orleans, at the Smoothie King Center; in Charlotte, at the Spectrum Center; in Nashville, at the Bridgestone Arena, among other places.
Last March, the singer even canceled a presentation in the city of Michigan, Minnesota, due to alleged rumors of low ticket sales. However, various media revealed that the real reason for the suspension of the Puerto Rican show was the arrival of a storm in the city in the northern United States.
Regarding the origin of the distance between the North American public and the singer, various sources close to the singer point out that the poor reception of his latest album “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana”, released in October 2023, would be one of the main reasons for which people have turned their backs on the singer.
Likewise, and in a more personal way, his recent breakup with the American model, Kendall Jenner, could have “weight” in the artist’s impact within this sector.
During his most recent concert in New York City, the “Tití Me Preguntó” singer burst into tears in the middle of the concert. Thanks to the variety of videos that went viral on social networks in a few hours, the singer could be seen and heard saying that he “was just a person” while he cried on the New York stage.
Despite the encouragement that the public present gave to the actor, a large number of users, on social networks, pointed out that the singer’s action was a “mere performance” because moments before the situation, Bad Bunny’s dancers changed their clothing with long black capes and death masks to provide greater drama to the moment.
