Jomari Goyso, like every year, launched one of the public’s most anticipated reviews: “the best and worst dressed”, on this occasion of the Met Gala 2024. The Hispanic public applauds, thanks and respects the opinions of this expert in fashion, because all his observations are accurate and critical but from the basis of respect.
We start like this with the best of the night
We then start with the queens of the night, among whom the Spaniard highlights: Jennifer López, Dua Lipa, Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Demi Moore and Nicole Kidman.
The most special mention goes to Zendaya: The Queen
The queen of the night at the Met Gala 2024 was Zendaya. The young 27-year-old actress knew what the red carpet was all about and for this reason she made her first entrance to the red carpet in a blue dress, in total allusion to “The Garden of Time.”
This beautiful blue design was from Maison Margiela by John Galliano. But, as if this spectacular entry were not enough. The actress returned to the red carpet with a black design, a vintage Givenchy.
The fairies of the story at this Met Gala were Karol G and Eiza Gónzalez, because they both chose looks that made them look like forest elves.
The worst dressed and those who did not understand the concept
This list of celebrities could divide opinions, because sometimes beyond seeing the fashion and understanding the concept, fans idealize their favorite celebrity and tend to applaud them for everything, even when they are out of place with their choices for one of the events. Hollywood’s most anticipated fashion trends.
Now, the worst dressed and those who did not understand the concept of the night at all were: Elsa Pataky with her husband Chris Hemsworth. Lizzo, Rosalía, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Camila Cabello, Raw Alejandro, Shakira and Kylie Jenner, among others, also enter this list.
Many of the personalities mentioned did not necessarily arrive poorly dressed. We could highlight, for example, Kylie Jenner, however the dress she chose for tonight has nothing to do with the Met theme, on the contrary. The design was spectacular, as Jomari rightly says, but for the Oscars.
Another great example is Shakira. The Colombian arrived with an interesting red dress that would work better on the Grammys red carpet, but not necessarily at the Met Gala.
