The Houston Police Department is investigating the death of a man at a fast food restaurant, caused by a customer who was angry because his order was not given correctly. Authorities said the suspect, after fatally shooting the victim, fled the scene in a blue van, so far there have been no arrests.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences identified the victim as Jeffrey Limmer, 46, as the man killed at the Houston McDonald’s last weekend.

Tried to calm the client

Police shared that the attorney attempted to intervene and calm down an angry customer who was demanding a refund for his meal from one of the McDonald’s employees, located on I-10 west of Houston.

The verbal argument turned physical and the attorney began fighting with the client as they walked to the restaurant parking lot. Jeffrey Limmer, already upset, pushed the suspect, who fell to the ground.

The suspect fled in a blue van.

The angriest man got up from the ground, walked to his car, took a gun and shot Limmer, and then escaped in a blue Ford truck, Houston police specified.

Emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident where paramedics attempted to do something for Attorney Limmer, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was an associate at a law firm.

Jeffrey Limmer worked at the law firm Lewis Brisbois, who according to his biography was an associate and member of the firm’s General Liability Practice.

He attended the University of Texas at Austin, and then graduated from law school at South Texas University of Law.

Limmer’s sister, Jennifer Thomas, told ABC 13 News that he “loved his family and friends fiercely. She was always laughing, making jokes and just loving life.”

The Houston Police Department is conducting an investigation to find the person responsible for the lawyer’s death, but so far they have not provided more information about the progress in the case. If anyone has information, they could contact the Department.
