A total of 34,904 people have died in the Gaza Strip after at least 60 Gazans died in the last 24 hours, while a forceful attack by Israel in Rafah is feared. The total number of injured has increased to 78,514.

The Ministry of Health of the Gaza Government, controlled by the Islamist group Hamas, reported that the Israeli occupation has committed four massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, causing 60 deaths and 110 injuries in the last 24 hours.

Likewise, the Israeli military forces have taken control of the areas of the crossing with Egypt and the Kerem Shalom crossing with Israel in Rafah, as well as another 31 square kilometers, where the evacuation of citizens has been ordered. Eight Gazans, including three children, have died in the shelling west of the city.

The Rafah border crossing has been the victim of attacks by Israeli planes, which according to the EFE agency, fired projectiles towards the eastern neighborhoods of Al Shuweika and Al Jeneina. The naval force also used machine guns against the western areas of Rafah.

At least ten homes were bombed near the Hasan Al Banna mosque and Gaza University, in the north of the strip, specifically in the Zeitun neighborhood. The attack caused the displacement of thousands of people who took refuge in schools.

Israeli forces confirmed having bombed from the air, based on intelligence information, some 25 targets in the Zeitun neighborhood, including military structures, tunnels, observation and sniper posts.

They also confirmed that ground troops are still present in this northern area, which was evacuated at the end of February to carry out “selective air strikes” against Hamas militants.

Israel declared war on the Islamist movement Hamas, which has been classified by the United States, its largest ally, as a terrorist, as well as by the European Union, after the surprise attack on October 7, in which 1,200 people were killed and They registered around 200 kidnapped people.
