A 12 year old boy who disappeared while camping in Pennsylvania, was found dead this Thursday after drowning in a camp pool.
Pau Kahi was on a three-day trip for high school students from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster County when she went missing Wednesday, camp officials said.
The boy’s body was found early Thursday morning in a pool at Summit Grove Campground in New Freedom.
Kahi had gone swimming with other campers at 3: 30 Wednesday pm. According to reports, the organizers cleared the pool at 6 pm and were on their way to the next activity when they noticed that Pau was missing.
It is still not clear where the child after the swimming session or how he got to the pool, since it was closed.
“At this time, we have no information that it is anything other than an accident, but we are certainly going to to look at every aspect to make sure,” Chief James Boddington told WGAL-TV.
