While Fernando del Solar’s family decides whether to mourn his body in a Morelos funeral home, or cremate it to take it to Argentina, several of his friends have lamented his departure.
Efraín Barrera, communicator, lecturer and former partner of Del Solar in ‘Venga la Alegría’, several years ago, kept in touch with him at all times and was part of his closest WhatsApp chats.
“We are some friends who are there and those who deeply regret his death. We will always remember him throwing good vibes, one of his last messages was that he was happy about the topic of his conference. He was giving them very happily. He even invited me to accompany him on one of his tours, he was traveling a lot”, explained Barrera in an interview.
This Thursday the death of Fernando, who was born in Buenos Aires and was 49 years old, was the husband of Ingrid Coronado and from whom he separated in 2015, after three seven years of relationship (three married) and after he convalesced after the diagnosis of lung cancer that has afflicted him ever since. With the former Garibaldi he had his children, Luciano and Paolo.
In his closest friends club, there were the actor Rodrigo Cachero and the businessman and ex-husband of Lidia Ávila (of OV7), Paulo Lauría, as well as Adrián Patiño, former director of ‘Venga la Alegría’.
“I still can’t say anything. I still can’t even upload a photo on the networks, to say goodbye. I need time to process it“, answered Lauría when requesting a comment about his dear friend.
Already married to Anna Ferro, who has not yet defined what will happen to his body, Fernando del Solar will always be remembered as someone smiling and very pleasant, far from malice and negativity.

“Before the Covid pandemic, he had ups and downs from his disease (cancer). Most of the people knew it. He had great strength, he was a warrior, a fighter, “said Barrera about who was the host of Hoy for three weeks.
And he affirmed, moved and shocked, that he will always have the former model, present in his mind.
“Always buildable, brutally honest, always had a good vibe on you. I saw the positive in people. When he was diagnosed with cancer, I think it was exponential, he became stronger, more positive, he loved life”, emphasized Barrera.
