in-the-middle-of-the-dispute-with-neymar-psg-signs-vitinha-for-five-seasons

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced this Thursday the signing of Porto midfielder Vítor Machado Ferreira, better known as Vitinha, with a five-year contract, the club said in a statement.

According to the sports newspaper L’Équipe, the Parisian club has paid $41 million dollars to cover the release clause of the Portuguese player, who becomes PSG’s first summer signing and who already underwent the first medical examination this Thursday before going to sign his contract at the headquarters of his new team.

The Portuguese international, born in Santo Tirso, was trained in the fields of Portugal since the 11 years old but had the opportunity to play in English football, in the Premier League, being transferred to Wolverhamtpon for the season 2020-2021, where he played 22 games.

Back at his club last summer, Vitinha played in 47 games this season and after having been part of all the national youth teams, this year he also joined the national team to his 11 years, with which he has already competed three times.

This transaction comes right in the middle of an alleged dispute between PSG and the Brazilian Neymar, who apparently requires the club to pay $207 million dollars for a debt that the Parisian team would have with the player.

Apparently, Neymar’s intention is to go to Chelsea, and he wants PSG to pay him that amount to go quietly.

However, no It would not be easy for Neymar to leave PSG, since the Brazilian star earns more than $100 million annually, something very difficult to pay for another team in Europe.

Although the Chelsea thing is still just a rumour, the European press has talked a lot about that possibility, and even players like Thiago Silv They have encouraged him to go to the blue team.

“ Neymar must go to Chelsea“, indicated Silva.
