The secretary of foreign relations of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, delivered this Wednesday to the Chilean singer Mon Laferte her letter of Mexican naturalization, in a private ceremony.

The former Head of Government from Mexico City was the one who announced the news through his social networks, where he shared a photograph next to the interpreter and Senator Olga Sánchez Cordero.

Mon Laferte, who also sang the national anthem, only limited himself to retweeting the messages of several senators who were present at the ceremony.

The singer-songwriter, who recently became a mother, is on tour in various parts of the Mexican Republic: this December 2 will be presented at the Audiorama El Trompo, in Tijuana; on the 8th at the CDMX National Auditorium, and in Oaxaca, at the Guelaguetza Auditorium.

“We had already announced the closure of the tour in the Auditorium but this invitation to Oaxaca arrived and I could not resist, it has a lot that we did not play in this beautiful state and it is one of my favorites in Mexico,” Mon Laferte wrote on his Instagram .
