Although she has had great successes in her career, Camila Sodi acknowledges that a good part of this has been the product of luck, as she reveals that when she was young she could not properly complete her artistic preparation.
In an interview for the podcast “Señoras Punk”, Thalía’s niece recalled her years as a student at Televisa’s Center for Artistic Expression (CEA) and said that the director expelled her for interrupting him during an advertisement.
“They fired me for a very strange thing. A classmate from the salon had an accident and died. Then the director held an assembly and said that the show had to go on. I raise my hand and tell him that we have to watch over her, then he finishes his speech and calls me to go to his office. There he asks me for my nametag and tells me that I no longer study at the Quesque center for having disrespected authority”, said Camila.
Finally, the actress recalled that a short time later fortune smiled on her, as one of the producers of the San Angel television station called her by phone to offer her a leading role in a telenovela that she went to record in Miami and, although she was not sure at first, she ended up accepting.
