Real Madrid will celebrate its thirty-sixth League title next Sunday, May 12, with a tour of the city in an open-top bus and the traditional meeting with the fans at the Cibeles fountain.

The celebration was postponed due to the Champions League semi-final match that Real Madrid will play on Wednesday against Bayern Munich. After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, the white team is playing for a place in the final in London and the club’s priority has focused on this crucial match.

The league title was confirmed mathematically after Real Madrid’s victory against Cádiz and Barcelona’s subsequent defeat in Montilivi against Girona. The players and coaching staff, led by Carlo Ancelotti, celebrated in a restrained manner in the Bernabéu’s honor box and invited the fans, who had already gathered at the Cibeles fountain, to an early date for the official celebration.

Next Sunday, after Saturday’s game in Granada, will be the day chosen for the celebration. The day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a visit to the institutions, where President Florentino Pérez and his team will be present at the City Hall and the Community headquarters.

Next, the players, in an open-top bus decorated with the colors of Real Madrid’s 36th League, will celebrate the title with the Madrid fans through the streets of Madrid. The tour will conclude at the Cibeles fountain, where a walkway will be installed to meet the fans and a crane that will raise Nacho Fernández to the height of the goddess to cover her with the club’s scarf.

On this occasion, Real Madrid has chosen to change the celebration protocol compared to two years ago, when the same situation occurred, with a Champions League match after the day in which they were proclaimed champion. On that occasion, the celebration took place a few days after the European match.

With this new League, Real Madrid expands its dominance in Spanish football, consolidating itself as the most successful club in the history of the competition. The white team and its fans are now looking forward to the Champions League match against Bayern Munich, where they will seek a new step towards conquering the long-awaited fourteenth Orejona.
