The 96th edition of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Awards, the 2024 Oscars, will delay its broadcast for one hour. According to the same organizers of the highest award in the United States film industry, this change seeks to attract a greater percentage of viewers as well as prevent the ceremony from ending late at night.
Therefore, the 2024 edition of the Oscars will be broadcast starting at 7:00 p.m. (PT), 8:00 p.m. (MT), 9:00 p.m. (CT) and 10:00 p.m. (ET). According to the new schedule, the broadcast of the awards is expected to end before 10:00 p.m. (PT), which would also help the rest of the population to enjoy the ceremony from start to finish.
Likewise, and as part of the new strategy, the official preview broadcast will begin at 6:30 p.m. (PT).
What other surprises will the 2024 Oscars have?
In addition to the slight change in schedule that the 2024 Oscars will have, the Academy Awards will also once again use the American presenter and comedian Jimmy Kimmel as its master of ceremonies.
