The Mexican fighter Jaime Munguía became the next rival of the undisputed super middleweight champion, Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez and this has caused him to be working hard to be able to break all the predictions and thus claim victory to be able to make history in the T -Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 4 when both enter the ring.

During a recent interview offered for Fight Hub, Jaime Munguía decided to talk about the work he has been doing and stated that he is more than prepared to achieve victory against Canelo Álvarez; In addition to this, he decided to list some of the points that he has in his favor to be able to overcome the man from Guadalajara who has established himself as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet.

“Yes, I think that yes (I have) more speed, more volume of blows, many things. Yes, I think that too (I have more power), but we have to be ready in the ring for anything,” the Aztec highlighted in his statements.

World boxing specialists have stated that the experience that Canelo Álvarez has will be essential to be able to win this confrontation, having played a total of 64 duels in more than 18 years of professional career; Despite this, Munguía is not a rookie at all because he has an undefeated record of 43 matches that he wants to continue expanding professionally.

“I think I also have experience, I have 43 professional fights, I don’t think I’m at zero. The truth is I don’t think so, I’m not worried about that, I’ve prepared myself hard,” the fighter highlighted when asked if he is worried about the Guadalajara’s intelligence.

Finally, the Tijuana native assured that the volume of blows that he can deliver in a fight will also be essential to achieve victory despite recognizing the counterpunching power that Canelo has.

“I think that is totally going to be the difference, my volume of hits. But I have to be very careful with his counterpunch, he is a good fighter and we have to be ready for anything in the ring,” he emphasized.

“I think there will be many things in the ring, but without a doubt it will be a great fight. Many things can happen above the ring, Canelo is an intelligent fighter, we have to adjust above the ring for anything that happens,” Jaime Munguía concluded in his statements.
