At least nine people, including a minor, were injured during a shooting Thursday in Newark, New Jersey, city officials said.

Initially, authorities said seven adults and a minor were injured, WPIX-TV reported, but another adult victim was later revealed.

The city’s gunshot detection system alerted police to the shooting shortly after 6: pm on the block 200 of Clinton Place, NJ.com reported. The shooting apparently occurred outside a grocery store, WNBC-TV reported. Newark Acting Director of Public Safety Raul Malave told NJ.com in an email.

“Four other adult victims were transported to the University Hospital to receive treatment for injuries from bullet,” the outlet added, citing said email.

All nine victims are in stable condition, city officials told WABC-TV.

Officials have not released any information about what led to the shooting, according to WPIX, but police said an investigation was ongoing.
